Whisky Warrant Notes:

Appearance: Rich burnt amber with semi-slow moving tears that cling to the side before slowly descending. An early indication of a whisky carrying both texture and weight.

Aroma: First impression is oily and sweet, opening with rich vanilla before deeper notes of seasoned oak. Underneath is a vibrant fruit character, reminiscent of maraschino cherries, providing a welcome sweetness against the darker oak influence.

Flavour: Bold from the outset. Woody oak takes centre stage, layers of spicy dried fruit follow, bringing sweet currants and dark fruit notes complementing the oak. Vanilla and caramel gradually emerge through with a creamy sweetness that is balanced approachable and bold.

Finish: Medium to long, oak remains present as sweeter notes slowly fade, warming and satisfying.

Final Note:

This one earns a 🏴‍☠️ Patrol Worthy.

For me, that’s a whisky I’d happily recommend to enthusiasts looking to explore Australian whisky at its finest. It delivers exceptional balance, depth and craftsmanship, and it’s a bottle I’d gladly pour for friends who appreciate quality whisky.
